We’re moving to Zambia! If you can tell me without looking just where Zambia is you win free food and lodging when you come and visit us.
For those who don’t know, it’s smack dab in the middle of the southern region of Africa. In 1911 it became a British Protectorate called Northern Rhodesia. In 1964 the country became Zambia. We’ll be living in the capitol city of Lusaka.
So, here’s the plan. The movers come tomorrow to pack the house and Tuesday to load everything. We have four categories we have to sort everything into — air freight (500 lbs max, comes in about two weeks), sea freight (comes in about 3 months), accompanied baggage (comes with us on the plane, max three bags each), and storage. We’re actually bringing most everything because we see this as a long-term move (we’re selling our house) and the first piece of advice I got from people who had just moved there was, “bring everything.” Oh, and we’re also bringing our two dogs, Ozzie and Buddy.
We hope you come along on our adventure!
